UNDATED (AP) -- Unseasonably warm weather is in store for Oklahoma Wednesday, but a blast of winter weather will arrive before week's end.
The National Weather Service said high pressure will shift east Wednesday, allowing for southerly winds. That will begin a warming trend that will be in place until Friday.
Cloud cover will be on the increase by Thursday as a new storm system approaches, bringing the next round of showers and thunderstorms. Showers and thunderstorms will continue through Friday as the storm system drags a cold front across Oklahoma. Heavy rainfall will be possible as the front moves across the state.
Conditions will be mostly cloudy, windy and colder on Saturday. There is a chance of light rain and light snow in eastern Oklahoma.
