Documents filed in a criminal gambling case indicate Grady County Sheriff Kieran McMullen and his wife paid more than $10,000 to the Elks Lodge in Chickasha during the year preceding a September gambling raid.
Records indicate Helen McMullen also received numerous payments ranging from $50 to $550 for winning on the lodge's electronic gambling machines.
Sheriff McMullen and his wife, who was a Chickasha police lieutenant until she was fired earlier this month, each face three felony and two misdemeanor charges.
