UNDATED (AP) -- What would Christmas Day be without a little snow?
Light rain or snow is in today's forecast for southeastern Oklahoma. Rain is likely in other areas of eastern Oklahoma, but the rest of the state will mostly cool and dry.
The National Weather Service says clouds and rain spread across the state overnight. Many areas will see some measurable rainfall.
The rain may mix with light snow across southeastern Oklahoma Christmas morning, but little or no accumulation is expected.
Rain will end during the day. Dry weather will return tomorrow and Wednesday, with near normal temperatures. A new storm system will approach the region Thursday and bring the next chance of rain. Rain chances will then continue into the weekend.
Highs on Christmas Day will reach the 40s and 50s. Tonight will be partly to mostly clear with lows in the upper teens to upper 20s.
