MINNEAPOLIS (AP) The agent for Minnesota Vikings receiver Marcus Robinson tells The Associated Press that the club has informed his client that he will be released.

The 10-year veteran is being cut with one game left in the season, but because he is a vested veteran, Robinson already has his $2 million salary guaranteed.

Robinson started 19 of the 41 games in which he's played in his three seasons with the Vikings. He caught 107 passes for just over 1,500 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Robinson and first-year coach Brad Childress have never seen eye-to-eye about the player's role in the offense. The veteran receiver had been deactivated for several games this season, despite being healthy enough.

The 31-year-old Robinson has 29 catches for 381 yards and a team-leading 4 TDs.
