FORT WORTH, Texas (AP) Long before Kyle Whittingham and Steve Kragthorpe were college head football coaches, they were kids running around together at BYU.

That's where their dads were on Lavell Edwards' staff in the 1970s.

Now Tulsa coach Kragthorpe and Utah coach Whittingham will be on
opposite sidelines Saturday night, facing each other as head coaches for the first time when the Golden Hurricane play the Utes in the Armed Forces Bowl in Fort Worth, Texas.

The Golden Hurricane are going to a bowl game for the third time
in four years and to back to back bowls for the first time since 1965.

TU and Utah have played three times in the past with Tulsa winning two of those games. The last meeting was in 1997 as the Hurricane won 21-13.

Utah is a 2.5 point favorite.

Kickoff is at 7 Saturday night in Fort Worth.
