A driver tries to elude police first in a car, and then on foot. An officer tried to make a routine traffic stop just after 1 a.m. Friday, but the driver sped off, police said. The car chase ended when the driver pulled down a dead end street in an industrial area near Latimer and Gary. The man got out of the car and ran, he was quickly apprehended, said police.
The driver and a passenger were taken into custody.
The car may have been stolen, said police.
