A pilot facing first-degree manslaughter charges for a plane crash that killed three people is now out on bond.
A Delaware County judge cut Brent Caldwell's bond in half on Wednesday, from $300,000 to $150,000, after determining that he is not a flight risk.
The 30-year-old Pryor native was flying the single-engine plane that crashed into Grand Lake on Saturday, killing the other three people on board. Caldwell was arrested after the crash, and charged with three counts of first-degree manslaughter.
He has no criminal history, and Caldwell's lawyer says he won't run.
"You're dealing with a man who has character, who has heart, he is going to do what is right," said Chris Lyons, Caldwell’s attorney.
Investigators say Caldwell does not have a valid pilot's license, and the Oklahoma Highway Patrol says he was drunk at the time of the crash.
