TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- Oral Roberts juniors Adam Liberty and Moses Ehambe set career scoring highs as they combined for 42 points in a 69-58 victory over Montana Tuesday night.
Liberty, a 6-2 transfer guard from Wichita State, had 22 points after entering the game with a 6.2 average. Ehambe, a 6-6 reserve forward, was averaging 3.6, but scored 20.
Caleb Green added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Golden Eagles (5-5), who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Andrew Strait, a 6-8 junior center, was 10-of-16 from the field as he paced the Grizzlies (6-6) with 21 points and eight rebounds. Matt Dlouhy had 14 points for Montana.
Liberty scored 15 and Green added 14 in the second half to help the Golden Eagles pull away after they led 32-24 at halftime.
Liberty sank a trey and Green made two free throws to give ORU its biggest lead at 53-40 midway through the second half. Montana, however, responded with seven straight points.
ORU countered with six consecutive points on four Ehambe free throws and a Green basket for a 59-47 advantage with five minutes left.
A layup by Strait and two free throws by Bryan Ellis cut the ORU lead to 63-55, but Liberty sank four free throws and Ehambe made two free throws in the final 1:32 to clinch the victory.
Montana outrebounded ORU 29-24. The Golden Eagles were 25-of-30 on free throws compared to 6-of-11 for the Grizzlies. From the line, Liberty was 10-of-10, Green 8-of-9 and Ehambe 7-of-8.
In the first half, Ehambe was 5-of-5 from the field, including three treys. Strait scored 15 in the first half.
