It was an early Christmas for teachers at Hawthorne Elementary School in Tulsa. Members of the First Christian Church surprised the teachers Tuesday with more than $4,000 worth of educational supplies.

“I was very surprised um, I put down a bunch of stuff but I expected to get one or two things. I didn't think I would get a bunch of stuff,” first grade teacher Celeste Catcher said.

“I got a Leap Frog which I have been trying to get for a long time now. They're pretty expensive,” said kindergarten teacher Lacey Watson.

The teachers received more than just pencils, paper and crayons; the church also donated digital cameras, computer software and even furniture to the school.
