Big 12 sets Bedlam game for Thanksgiving weekend through 2015

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Big 12 Conference releases a schedule that sets the Bedlam football game between Oklahoma and Oklahoma State for Thanksgiving weekend from 2008 to 20-15.

O-S-U has consistently supported playing the Bedlam game on Thanksgiving weekend, while O-U generally preferred to keep the holiday weekend open for athletes and fans.

Big 12 associate commissioner Tim Allen says the desires of television networks with contracts with the Big 12 made putting Bedlam on the holiday weekend an easy decision. Allen also noted challenges posed by the new 12-game schedule for N-C-A-A Division One-A schools.

O-U will open conference play against Baylor in 2008, 2009 and 20-13; Texas in 20-10, 20-11, 20-14 and 20-15 and Kansas State in 20-12.

O-S-U will open league play all eight seasons against Texas A-and-M -- four times at home and four times away.
