MEDFORD, Okla. (AP) _ Grant County prosecutors plan to decide next week whether to file charges after a group of horses were found starving in a pasture near Medford.
The sheriff's office earlier this week seized six horses who were malnourished and had mild cases of worms. Another horse was euthanized.
Meanwhile, Lahoma veterinarian Kristy Krueger says the other seized animals remained about the same on Friday. Krueger said if they progress over the weekend, they could be taken to a shelter.
Assistant District Attorney Melissa Blanton said she received information from the sheriff's office on Friday was reviewing the case. Blanton says officials are still waiting on some tests to be completed.
No arrests have been made.
