FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) Arkansas freshman Patrick Beverley says he doesn't think about facing coaching legend in the making Bobby Knight, he thinks about facing Texas Tech.
But it's Knight who's at the helm of the Red Raiders, and they visit North Little Rock, Arkansas, Saturday to play the Razorbacks.
Knight arrives with 877 wins, two fewer than North Carolina's Dean Smith on the Division I career coaching list. Razorbacks coach Stan Heath, who is one win away from 100, hopes his team can refocus quickly with only one day off between games.
Arkansas beat Oakland, Michigan, 91-57 Thursday night in Fayetteville. Heath said that win gave his team a good feeling going into Saturday’s game.
Arkansas is 8-1, while the Red Raiders bring an 8-3 record to the match-up.
