STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) _ Oklahoma State first-year head coach Sean Sutton is chasing an 82-year-old record that he can only tie.

The 15th-ranked Cowboys are off to a 10-and-0 start and only one coach in history has gone undefeated in his first season as head coach.

Norman Shepard led North Carolina to a 26-and-0 season in 1923-24.

And undefeated OSU will be tested in the next week as the Cowboys play at Tennessee on Monday then take on second-ranked Pittsburgh in the All-College Classic next Thursday in Oklahoma City.

The last team to go undefeated was Indiana in 1975-76.
