Tulsa is losing one of its most experienced K-9 officers. WC Carr is retiring after spending 25 of his 27 years on the force, working in the K-9 unit.
Tulsa Police officer Carr has worked with five canine partners and made more than 550 felony apprehensions.
Tulsa Police Sgt. Steve Middleton: "He is probably one of the hardest workers, has one of the best work ethics every seen for a police officer. He actually outdoes younger guys in his ripe old age."
Officer Carr and his current partner, Rexo have apprehended 115 suspects in the past five years.
Rexo is going to retire, as well. He will become Carr's pet.
