LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) _ Former Oklahoma head coach John Blake is resigning as an assistant at Nebraska.

A Lincoln newspaper is reporting Blake is heading to North Carolina to work for new Tar Heels head coach Butch Davis.

Blake has been a top recruiter for the Cornhuskers.

He was head coach at OU from 1996 to 1998
