There's just 12 days left to finish your Christmas shopping. The Salvation Army would like you to add one more name to your list.

News on 6 anchor Terry Hood shows us how you can adopt a forgotten angel. There are still 2,500 names hanging on the Salvation Army Angel Tree. That's 2,500 Christmas trees with nothing worth celebrating underneath.

The Angel Tree holds holiday wishes for children and seniors, in need of a Merry Christmas. Brenda Moore showed us just how easy it is to help. She picked out a 94-year-old grandmother, who only wanted a warm housecoat for Christmas.

With Angel in hand, it was time for Brenda to hit the stores. She found the housecoat and a little more to help her Angel in the cold. All that was left to do is visit the register and to return the gifts to the tree.

No bows or ribbons necessary, only a warm heart, willing to make a Christmas wish come true. Brenda Moore: "This just moved my heart to do this this year. This lady's 94 and this really moved me to do this, so I bought her some real pretty things.”

The Salvation Army would like to see most donations come in by the end of the week, but they'll take presents for adopted angels up until Christmas Eve.

Some folks can't adopt an Angel this year, but they have time to give. The Salvation Army says they can always use volunteers at the mall, or back at headquarters to help sort the toys.
