OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ The Oklahoma City Council voted Tuesday morning to continue its agreement with Emergency Medical Services Authority to provide ambulance service in the area.
City officials in Tulsa are still considering whether to keep EMSA or shift its ambulance service to the city's fire department.
The trust that governs EMSA is an agreement between Oklahoma City and Tulsa for EMSA to provide ambulances in the two metropolitan areas.
EMSA spokeswoman Lara O'Leary says if Tulsa decides to end its agreement then Oklahoma City officials could rewrite the trust to maintain the service.
A decision by Tulsa officials is due by January 31st.
