OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ For the first time in five years the number of Oklahomans getting food stamps has declined for three straight months.
State Department of Human Services Director Howard Hendrick says the decline is because of continuing low unemployment rates in the state and increasing wages.
DHS says 428,557 Oklahomans were receiving food stamps in November compared to more than 440,000 in November 2005.
