TULSA, Okla. (AP) _ City officials in Tulsa are planning a meeting later this week with Amtrak to discuss adding rail service in Tulsa.

The proposal calls for Amtrak service from Tulsa to Oklahoma City and from Tulsa to either Kansas City or St. Louis.

Amtrak's Heartland Flyer currently runs from Oklahoma City to Fort Worth, Texas.

City Councilor Rick Westcott says rail service would reduce congestion on Interstate 44 between Oklahoma City and Tulsa and would be a great economic investment in the city.
