Most people would like to stay home when the weather gets like this, but not everyone can.

News on 6 reporter Rick Wells visited Owasso and Claremore looking to see what people were doing. What he ended up with was a story about what people were not doing.

The snowplows were out, but while they were pushing stuff it didn't seem to be making much of a difference. Traffic in Owasso was moving very slowly.

In Catoosa, we found Willie Turner of Turner Wrecker Service, helping get a truck started. He said things had been pretty quiet. "It's not as busy as I expected this morning, people were actually driving like they should be driving." No sooner had he said that, than we came upon an accident.

We found some guys clearing some paths on the sidewalk at shopping center. Nobody was shopping. They were not getting haircuts either.

Most people weren't out, but some cows had no choice. They did the best they could. Tails into the wind, all huddled up behind some rolls of hay for a little windbreak.

So if folks weren't out, maybe they were in. We stopped by the Recreation Center in Claremore. They've got a great indoor pool and what a terrific day for a swim. But alas, no swimsuit, you would not want to see that anyway.
