The Golden Eagles make a trip across town for Tuesday nights Mayor's Cup match-up with Tulsa. This is the 43rd meeting between ORU (3-1) and TU (3-1).
The Golden Hurricane hold the edge in the series, 27-15, but ORU has won the last three meetings.
TU is coming off a 91-70 win over Cal State Northridge. The Hurricane is led by junior guard Rod Earls, who's scoring 14 points a game.
ORU is fresh off a 50 point win against Panhandle State, 91-41. The Golden Eagles are led by one of the best duos in the nation, Caleb Green and Ken Tutt; Green is averaging 17.5 points a game, Tutt 17.2.
Oral Roberts is holding opponents to 57.8 points a game. The Golden Eagles are also out-rebounding opponents by nearly 4 boards a game, and forcing 19 turnovers.
Tulsa has been trounced by ORU in the last two games; the Golden Eagles won both by an average of 19.5 points. TU hopes to recapture the Mayor's Cup at the Donald W. Reynolds Center Tuesday night; tip-off is at 7:05 pm.
