KOCHI, Japan (AP) While missing the cut, Michelle Wie described Friday’s round in the Japanese tour's Casio World Open as “pretty tragic.''
The 17-year-old beat only one player in yet another embarrassing performance in a men's event, shooting an 8-over-80 in the 2nd round.
She finished at 17-over-161, leaving her 27 strokes behind leader Tetsuya Haraguchi. Wie didn't birdie a single hole in the tournament and finished with 6 bogeys and a double bogey Friday.
