MORAGA, Calif. (AP) Omar Samhan scored a career-high 16 points and grabbed eight rebounds as Saint Mary's of California beat TCU, 74-53, in non-conference men's college basketball.
The Gaels held the Horned Frogs scoreless for 11 1/2 minutes of the first half to take a 32-7 lead.
Saint Mary's improved to 4-2 as they dominated the offensive end and held the Horned Frogs to 13 first-half points. That matches the second-fewest scored in one half in TCU history.
The Horned Frogs committed 13 turnovers, shot five of 25 from the floor and were just 1-8 from three-point range in the opening 20 minutes.
Neiman Owens had 14 points and seven rebounds for TCU, which lost its 14th consecutive road game to fall to 3-1. The Horned Frogs were 0-12 on the road last season and haven't won on the road in the regular season since 2005.
