3A Semi-Final High School Playoffs

Class 3a semi-finals, undefeated Sequoyah Claremore will face Kingfisher.

In round one the Eagles had no trouble with Muldrow. Sequoyah Claremore steamrolled to a 48-7 victory.

The Eagles defeated Clinton 15-6 in the quarterfinals.

Sequoyah-Claremore scored on their first possession of the game, but missed the field goal. The Eagles didn't score again until the 4th quarter.

Clinton only scored once, that came in the 4th quarter. The Red Tornadoes were held to just 88 yards. This was Clinton's first season in Class 3A. This year the Red Tornadoes went down a class from 4A where they'd won the state title, last year.

Round one for Kingfisher was an easy victory, the Yellowjackets cruised to a 35-7 victory over Lone Grove.

In the quarterfinals it was Kingfisher against Seminole. In the first half the Jackets had trouble holding onto the ball, committing 3 turnovers, but a strong defense kept Seminole out of the end zone. It was 14-0 at the half. Kingfisher increased their lead to 21-0 in the 3rd, and the TD's kept coming. Seminole scored only once, Kingfisher wins 40-6.

Sequoyah-Claremore (12-0) will play Kingfisher (10-2) Saturday at 7:30 pm at Wantland Stadium in Edmond.

Hugo (10-2) will play Marlow (10-2) in Class 3A semi-finals.

In the first round of post-season play, Hugo defeated Vinita 26-14.

Quarterfinal play, Hugo tarnished Purcell's perfect record, beating the Dragons 13-9.

In round one Marlow edged out Tuttle, 16-14.

Marlow met Locust Grove in the quarterfinals. Marlow got off to a quick start scoring 12 unanswered points, but the Pirates rallied scoring 10, it was 12-10 at the half. That was the closest Locust Grove got. Marlow shutout the Pirates in the 2nd half. Final score, 25-10.

Hugo (10-2) plays Marlow (10-2) in Choctaw Saturday at 7:30 pm.
