OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- A federal jury finds an Oklahoma prisoner guilty of threatening to kill President Bush.
John Richter, the US Attorney for the Western District of Oklahoma, says that in August 2005, Jeremy Vaughn Pinson mailed a letter from Lawton, addressed to the president, that said, "You will die soon! Die Bush die."
Richter says the US Secret Service intercepted the letter, determined the threat was credible and presented the charges for prosecution.
Pinson faces up to five years in federal prison and a fine of up to $250,000 on his latest conviction. A sentencing hearing will be held within 90 days.
Pinson now is at the Oklahoma State Penitentiary in McAlester, serving a 3-year sentence for embezzlement.
