High School Playoffs Begin

Week one of the high school playoffs kick off Friday night. In 6A Broken Arrow visits Hunter-Dwelley Stadium to take on Jenks. It's a rematch between the Tigers and Trojans, who shut out Broken Arrow 17-0 in week 3.

In other first round action it’s Muskogee verses defending state champs Union. The 8-2 Rougher’s take on the 7-3 Redskins at Tuttle Stadium. Union is riding a 7 game winning streak. These two teams met 8 weeks ago, in that game Muskogee defeated Union 21-7.

Owasso heads to Stillwater for its first post season game. The #6 Rams are a favorite to beat the #10 Pioneer’s.

The Hornet’s of Booker T. Washington will face Enid, in Tulsa Friday night. 9-1 Washington is a favorite over the 6-4 Plainsmen.

6A games up the pike Friday night are Midwest City at Lawton, Norman North at Norman, and Edmond Santa Fe at Westmoore.

Defending 5A champs East Central should have an easy time with Durant. The Cardinals come into the post season with a perfect record. The 5-5 Lions hope to ruin that record Friday night in Tulsa.

Other 5A action, Ada takes a trip down the turnpike to Tulsa. The 6-4 Cougars face off against the 7-3 Bishop Kelley Comets.

The Rogers Ropers hope to lasso the Bixby Spartans in Bixby. Rogers comes in with a 6-4 record. 9-1 Bixby is the favorite in Friday’s match-up.

Coweta and McAlester hook up for post-season action. Both teams are 7-3, which should make for a close game. But the Coweta Tigers will be in Buffalo territory; the game is in McAlester.

In other 5A-playoff action it’s Nobel at Lawton Mac, Chickasha at Guthrie, Altus at Carl Albert and El Reno at Ardmore.

In Class 4A, Wagoner will try to keep their record perfect. The Bulldogs will take on the Hilldale Hornets in Wagoner Friday night. The 10-0 Bulldogs are a heavy favorite over the 5-5 Hilldale.

The Guymon Tigers pay a visit to the Glenpool Warriors. 7-3 Glenpool is favored over 5-5 Guymon.

The Miami Wardogs and the Broken Bow Savages hope to extend their post-season play Friday night. 5-5 Miami will play 7-3 Broken Bow in Broken Bow. The Savages are expected to score the W.

Mannford hopes to swashbuckle the Elk City Big Elks. Elk City takes on the Pirates in Mannford. Mannford is the favorite in this match-up.

The McGuinness Fighting Irish enter the post-season with a perfect record. They’ll take on the Deer Creek Antlers in round one of playoff action in McGuinness. The Fighting Irish are the favorite to win.

The Idabel Warriors hope to continue their post-season play by defeating the Grove Ridgerunners. Both teams are 7-3; they’ll face off Friday night in Grove.

The Oologah Mustangs head to Poteau for round one in the 4A playoffs. The Poteau Pirates are 7-3 this season. They’re favored to beat the 5-5 Mustangs.

Wrapping up 4A action, McLoud at Weatherford. The 8-2 Weatherford Eagles hope to soar to a victory over the 7-3 Redskins. In this match up, Weatherford is a slight favorite.

3A round one playoffs, 10-0 Sequoyah Claremore facing off against 4-6 Muldrow. The Muldrow Bulldogs will be Eagle territory. Sequoyah Claremore is the favorite.

Metro Christian will pay a visit to Seminole. The 9-1 Chieftains are favored by a touchdown over the Patriots.

Hugo takes on Vinita, in Vinita Friday night. Both teams are 8-2 on the season, but Hugo is favored to win.

Locust Grove makes a trip to Victory Christian. The Locust Grove Pirates are 7-3 on the season. Victory Christian is 8-2, and is expected to win.

In other 3A action, defending state champs the Tuttle Tigers will visit the Marlow Outlaws; Lone Grove will play at Kingfisher, Clinton at Plainview, and Newcastle at Purcell.

2A playoffs, Cascia Hall brings a perfect 10-0 record to the post-season. They’ll face off against the Westville Yellowjackets in Tulsa.

5-5 Nowata heads to 10-0 Sequoyah Tahlequah.

6-4 Morris hope to tarnish Vian’s perfect record. The Eagles will play the Wolverines in Vian.

Verdigris is taking their 7-3 record to Colcord. The 9-1 Hornets are favored to beat Verdigris.


Perkins-Tryon head to Oklahoma Christian. The Saints are a 3-touchdown favorite over Perkins-Tryon.

7-3 Wilburton heads to Henryetta. The 9-1 Knights are heavily favored over Wilburton.

The Stigler Panthers hope to extend post-season play with a win over Chandler, in Chandler.

Keys takes their 6-4 record to Sperry.

Prague heads to Spiro. The 9-1 Spiro Bulldogs are expected to squeak by the 7-3 Red Devils.


In other 2A action it’s Jones at Alva, Tishomingo at Hobart, Bridge Creek at Davis, Fairview at Millwood, Lindsay at Valliant, Kingston at Bethany, and Heritage Hall at Watonga.

In class A, 6-4 Drumright heads to 10-0 Pawnee.

Oklahoma Union will face off against Talihina.

Central Sallisaw heads to Commerce.

7-3 Hominy will take on 8-2 Crooked Oak, at Crooked Oak.

Also 7-3, Foyil heads to Crescent. The 9-1 Tigers are favored to beat Foyil.

Gore takes a trip to Afton.

Fairland heads to Panama. Panama is favored to win.

Tonkawa takes their 7-3 record to Woodland.

In other A action, Hinton at Okeene, Wayne at Ringling, Walters at Washington, Texhoma at Apache, Mooreland at Mangum, Healdton at Rush Springs, Dibble at Velma-Alma, and Carnegie at Beaver.
