OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ An attorney who testified before a multicounty grand jury says prominent attorney Stephen Jones [pictured] of Enid harassed and threatened him for cooperating with the jury's investigation.
Daniel Rath has told Oklahoma City police that Jones wrote and called him several times and told him he would regret testifying before the grand jury.
Jones denies the allegation.
Rath's testimony is apparently related to the jury's investigation of Texas businessman Gene Phillips who allegedly gave former Insurance Commissioner Carroll Fisher $25,000 and other gifts.
Jones represents Phillips in Oklahoma.
Jones has run for the US Senate and is known for representing Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh.
