DALLAS (AP) Voters in Dallas have approved more than $1 billion dollars in bonds to pay for projects including improvements to the Cotton Bowl.
Officials at Oklahoma and Texas have said stadium improvements are important to keeping the annual OU-Texas game at the Cotton Bowl.
The upgrades include improving seating and expanding capacity to more than 92,000, improving the scoreboard, bathrooms, concessions and locker rooms.
There is also a study to look into the possibility of doming the stadium.
