NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The Oklahoma Sooners top returning scorer will miss the first two games of the coming college basketball season because he broke NCAA rules.
Coach Jeff Capel says Michael Neal broke NCAA rules by playing in a summer basketball league that's outside a 100-mile radius of his home.
Capel says Neal will miss games against Norfolk State and Liberty.
Neal set Big 12 records last year by hitting 49.5 percent of his 3-point shots and averaging 3.93-pointers per game.
His nearly 12.5 point per game average is best among the Sooners returning this season.
