OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says traffic fatalities in Oklahoma this year are down from the same time a year ago.

The OHP says that through Friday, 617 people have died in accidents on Oklahoma roads. That's compared to 656 at this point in 2005.

Six people have died on state roads this month, compared to seven through the first three days of last November.
