Oprah Winfrey was in the giving spirit earlier this week, when she gave her audience a thousand dollars each. She asked each person to take the money and spend it on someone else.

Basically the "Pay it Forward" idea.

The show has influenced several viewers too. After watching the program and looking for ways to help the community, the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers organization, decided to give money to give to Claremore High School cheerleaders.

Jennifer DeAngelis with the Oklahoma Trial Lawyers: "There wasn't a rhyme or reason to it, these young ladies had some really good ideas about what to do with the money and that was a big decision making and they were happy to participate and we were happy to help them."

The cheerleaders will use the money to buy holiday meals for people and give to the elderly in nursing homes.
