Tulsa's Pearl district is celebrating a new community jewel. Thursday, Tulsa Mayor Kathy Taylor hosted the grand opening of the Central Center.

The new facility is located inside Centennial Park and will be home to activities for every generation.

Tulsa Parksâ€™ data resource manager, Greg Warren: â€œthis is one of the best facilities that we've ever built in the city of Tulsa. Hopefully the citizens after they see what it is they'll start coming out not only enjoy the recreation center but the beautiful landscape.â€

The landscape includes walking trails and water falls. There is also a beautiful retention pond to prevent flooding in the area.
