Friends and family are mourning a 4-year-old girl who died Monday in an Okmulgee house fire. The fire broke out Monday morning.
The girl's mother and two siblings barely escaped. The Okmulgee Fire Marshal says Camela Tiger was in the kitchen, and her three children were in the living room. When she walked into the living room, a gas heater and a couch next to it were in flames. She scooped up her two younger kids and ran out the door. When she and some bystanders went back for 4-year-old Gracie, the fire was already too much.
Neighbor Lloyd Cottrell: “when they came back out, they just shook their heads and she screamed. And I'll never forget that scream."
Tiger's husband is in the Army and serving in Iraq.
The family is staying with relatives in Okmulgee.
