The Tulsa Fire Department is crediting News on 6 viewers with helping to locate the family of a man who died in a weekend fire.

Billy Joe Smith died Sunday at a home at 138 South 36th West Place. Firefighters believe a cigarette in Smithâ€™s bedroom started the fire. When authorities hit a roadblock in finding his family, they asked for your help.

Fire officials say because of your calls, they have found his family members and notified them of Smith's death.
