MARLOW, Okla. (AP) _ A Marlow woman died early Sunday morning after her car slid off a Stephens County road, collided with a tree and rolled over, throwing her from the vehicle.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 44-year-old Karen Sue Wheeler was pronounced dead at the scene.

The patrol says Wheeler was eastbound on Ballpark Road near Marlow at a high rate of speed when her car slid off the road, hit a tree and overturned. Wheeler was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown about 15 feet from the car.
