TULSA, Okla. (AP)_ Conference USA's preseason coaches poll ranks the Tulsa women's basketball team 2nd in conference play this year.

Yesterday's poll also named senior Jillian Robbins as the preseason Player of the Year.

Coach Charlene Thomas-Swinson led the Golden Hurricane to their best season in school history with a 26-6 record and Conference USA regular season and tournament titles. The Golden Hurricane made it to the 2nd round of the 2006 NCAA women's tournament.

Robbins was an honorable mention All-American last season, scoring 17.9 points and grabbing 12.8 rebounds.

TU is tied with SMU in the poll. Rice was ranked #1, while Houston is 4th and Southern Miss is 5th.
