OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Damaged telephone lines that caused problems with Remington Park's pari-mutuel tote system force officials to cancel the track's final five scheduled races for Friday night.

Track spokesman Dale Day says it is thought to be the first time the track, which opened in 1988, has canceled any part of a race card because of non-weather-related issues.

Day says the track conducted its first four races Friday, but lost the ability to conduct on-track wagering after the third race.

He says odds for the fourth race couldn't be displayed on the track's infield tote board.

The track also had to cancel its simulcast racing because of the telephone-line troubles.

Remington Park has nine races scheduled for Saturday night.
