Broken Arrow Police says at least eight vehicles were hit by paintballs Wednesday morning and the shooter is still on the run. Most of the incidents happened around 193rd East Avenue or County Line Road in Broken Arrow.

News on 6 reporter Joshua Brakhage says police believe the gunman was driving around in a black SUV, hitting vehicles all along 193rd East Avenue.

Broken Arrow Police say paintballs hit a vehicle on the Broken Arrow Expressway and several at the intersection of 193rd and Kenosha.

911 calls started rolling in around 10 AM Wednesday. By noon, Broken Arrow Police say they had heard from 8 different drivers who say they were hit by paintballs.

The majority of the targets were cars. But the Transportation Director for Broken Arrow Schools the News on 6, one of the school buses was hit and says there were high school students on board when it happened.

The only injury from the shooting was a garbage collector that was hit when the shooters targeted his trash truck. Broken Arrow Police say he'll be all right and everyone's lucky no one else was hurt.

Broken Arrow Police Major Mark Irwin: "Pure conjecture, but it's probably kids thinking it's fun when it's actually very dangerous."

Major Irwin says if they find the shooters in their SUV, they could be charged with felonies.
