TULSA, Okla. (AP) -- A lot of jobs are on the line in Tulsa as a major employer is scheduled to be sold or closed.

Ford Motor Company has outlined a variety of options to about 500 families who rely on the Tulsa glass plant.

Ford announced last month that its glass plant will be sold or closed by 2008 as the company tries to transform itself into a leaner, more competitive company.

The plant draws workers from Broken Arrow, Tulsa and other communities. But, their futures are now up in the air.

Workers have eight options in all, including early retirement with $35,000 or a straight buy-out with $140,000.

Union officials are hoping local politicians will offer economic incentives to get the plant sold.
