A head-on collision has claimed the life of a 6 year old boy. Several others were injured in the accident on state Highway 66 near Sapulpa, including two small children.

The accident happened Saturday night between Tulsa and Sapulpa.

Sapulpa Police say an eastbound Dodge Stratus carrying four people swerved into oncoming traffic and struck a van with a family of five.

Sapulpa Police Sgt. Jeff Daves "Multi car, what we call, injury accident nine people involved four in one and five in a van all have been transported to various hospitals throughout the Tulsa area."

Investigators are still looking into what caused Saturdayâ€™s crash. They believe alcohol may have been a factor.
