NORMAN, Okla. (AP) _ The Oklahoma softball team improved to 4-0 at the Fall Festival by claiming two more wins.
The Sooners handed Washburn a 6-1 loss and followed it with a 7-0 shutout of Texas Woman's University Saturday.
Against Washburn, junior Savannah Long got the Sooners going in the bottom of the third with her solo homer over the right center field. OU then loaded the bases and scored another run after Amber Flores was hit by a pitch.
A bases-loaded two RBI single to right field by Samantha Ricketts pushed the lead to 4-0.
Against Texas Woman's, Oklahoma got on the board early Ricketts stepped to the plate with runners at second and third and grounded out to the second baseman, scoring Amber Spaulding.
