SHAWNEE, Okla. (AP) -- The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation will analyze leftover fast food to see if someone slipped amphetamine into a police officer's dinner.
Officer Kelly Vague, 36, of Shawnee, began feeling sick while eating a meal she had picked up from a Taco Bell.
Amphetamine, also known as speed, was found in her blood system when tested Wednesday night at the Shawnee Unity Health Center, according to a police report.
"Anyone who knows her, knows that she's a straight arrow," said Pottawatomie County District Attorney Richard Smothermon. "While it's always possible, it's highly unlikely she took the drug herself."
Smothermon said the restaurant was shut down for several hours late Wednesday while the building was searched and employees were questioned. He declined to say if any drugs were found.
"Our franchise is fully cooperating with authorities in their ongoing investigation, and cautions anyone from drawing conclusions until the investigation is complete," said Taco Bell spokesman Rob Poetsch said.
