There is a Tulsa connection to Wednesday's school shooting in Bailey, Colorado. The father of the gunman lives in Tulsa.

Colorado authorities say Duane Morrison killed a teenager at the high school, and then killed himself.

News on 6 reporter Emory Bryan talked with Morrison's father. Bob Morrison was contacted Thursday morning and told what happened, but he still is having trouble recognizing exactly what police say has happened with his son.

Morrison is the elderly father of the man who Colorado authorities identified from the shooting. While he's having trouble understanding the events of Wednesday, he seems clear in describing the early life of his 53 year old son, who he hasn't seen in years. "Well I guess the only way I can describe him, I would describe him as a loner."

Morrison says his son didn't agree with authority and was hard to deal with and that contributed to why they were no longer speaking.

Duane Morrisonâ€™s motive in Wednesdayâ€™s incident is still a mystery.
