JAY, Okla. (AP) -- A Grove man who faces drug and weapons complaints is accused of hiding crystal methamphetamine inside his prosthetic leg.
Captain Larry Barnett of the Delaware County Sheriff's Office says 64-year-old Larry Clinton Harper was arrested at his used car business on Friday. During a search, deputies found drugs inside a sock-like covering in Harper's prosthetic leg.
Barnett says Harper just laughed when the substance came tumbling out. Nearly an ounce of crystal meth was found in the prosthesis.
Barnett says Harper's arrest followed successful drug buys from the business.
The arrest netted more than three ounces of crystal meth with a street value of about ten-thousand dollars. Also confiscated were two handguns, $34,000 in cash and multiple bags of marijuana.
