The opening day at the Tulsa State Fair is Thursday.

Workers are busy setting up midway rides as they arrive. Several spent Wednesday setting up the Merry-Go-Round. One of dozens of rides on the fair midway.

Once a ride is set up it is inspected.

Food is also an important feature at the Tulsa State Fair. Karen Jencks has been a food vendor for years. Every year she cooks up something special. This year it's. "Deep fried ham and cheese on a stick, it's yummy, delectable. It's 97 percent fat free ham sugar cured and a white Wisconsin American cheese."
