An Oklahoma Marine is home. Lance Corporal Drew Hendricks arrived in Tulsa Tuesday morning. He's been serving in Iraq for the last six months as a photographer.
The News on 6 was able to connect him with family via satellite a few months ago, but Tuesday he finally got to see his family in person.
Lance Corporal Hendricks says it was a long journey home but he's glad to be back on US soil. "All of us didn't care where we were landing as long as it was the US. It was nice to see Green. When we'd seen nothing but desert forever so it was nice to see green trees and talk to people who spoke your language that was nice too."
Hendricks will be home for about two weeks. He says he looks forward to just relaxing and hanging out with his friends.
