PRYOR, Okla. (AP) -- A middle school teacher at Pryor who collapsed while driving a school bus last week has died.

Teacher Brian Parish had been hospitalized in critical condition since passing out last Monday while driving the bus with about 20 students on board.

Pryor High School sophomore Josh Marlin was able to put the bus into neutral and steer it safely off the road and get the students off.

School officials say Parish has had heart problems in the past but was cleared to drive the bus.
