OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Fifteen people, including employees, patients or visitors at an Oklahoma City-area hospital, have tested positive for exposure to tuberculosis.
Public health officials say they were exposed after coming in contact with a nurse who's been diagnosed with the disease.
Officials say the 15 haven't experienced symptoms of TB and can't spread the disease to others. Symptoms include a high fever, night sweats, hacking cough, coughing up blood and weight loss.
The 15 people are all from Oklahoma County. They may have been exposed by a female nurse at Integris Southwest Community Hospital between January 1st and August 11th. The nurse's friends, family and social contacts also need to be tested.
A class-action lawsuit has been filed in Oklahoma County District Court against the hospital.
