OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) _ Five proposed designs for the state quarter remain after tabulation of more than 267,000 votes from Oklahomans,
Governor Brad Henry says response to online voting has been overwhelming, with nearly all of the votes cast using the Internet.
The five narratives that got the most votes will be submitted to the US Mint, which will unveil the commemorative quarter in early 2008.
A design celebrating Oklahomans and industries that have shaped the state got the most votes, with more than 43,000. A close second with about 42,000 votes was a coin design featuring a blanket of Oklahoma's state wildflower, known as Indian Blanket or Gaillardia.
