NORMAN, Okla. (AP) -- Overall enrollment at the University of Oklahoma has dropped slightly, despite an increase in the number of students on two of OU's campuses.
Enrollment for the current semester on OU's three campuses is 29,721, compared to 30,447 for the 2005 fall semester.
OU's main campus in Norman has 853 fewer students than last year, and that decrease offset enrollment gains at campuses in Oklahoma City and Tulsa.
The OU-Tulsa enrollment is up by 9.8 percent, to 1,261 students, while 3,742 students attend the OU Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. That's a 5.8 percent increase.
Oklahoma State University last week said enrollment at its four campuses in Stillwater, Okmulgee, Oklahoma City and Tulsa had dropped slightly from last year to 32,402 students.
